A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, AMENDING
RESOLUTION NO. 79-16080 , ACCEPTING GRANT
FROM THE STATE OF FLORIDA, DEPARTMENT OF
HEALTH AND REHABILITATIVE SERVICES, FOR MIAMI
BEACH OPERATION RE-ENTRY; AND AUTHORIZING
EXECUTION OF CONTRACT THEREFOR.
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Miami
Beach, Florida, has determined it to be in the best interests
of the citizens of Miami Beach, Florida, to accept a Grant
from the State of Florida, Health and Rehabilitative Services ,
for services more particularly described in said Agreement,
to clients referred from the Criminal Justice System pursuant
to Chapter 397. 12 , Florida Statutes; and
WHEREAS, on November 21 , 1979 , Resolution No. 79-16080
was adopted, requesting a Grant in the amount of $5 , 000 ; and
WHEREAS , the City has been advised that said Grant has
been approved in an amount not to exceed $2 , 500. 00 ; and
WHEREAS , the City Attorney has approved as to form the
revised Public Donor Contract between the State of Florida and
the City of Miami Beach, a copy of which is attached hereto and
made a part hereof; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager has recommended to the City
Commission that said Agreement be entered into;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the City of Miami Beach
accept a Grant from the State of Florida, Department of Health
and Rehabilitative Services , for the Operation Re-Entry program;
and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and the City Clerk be
and they are hereby authorized and directed to execute said Agree-
ment in the name of and on behalf of the City of Miami Beach.
