A RESOLUTION AMENDING AGREEMENT WITH FLORIDA
INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY TO PROVIDE PUBLIC
SECTOR TRAINING TO OLDER WORKERS SUBSIDIZED
BY CETA, TITLE IID, TO CHANGE TERM OF PER-
FORMANCE FROM April 7, 1980 - May 31, 1880,
TO April 21, 1980 - June 30, 1980.
WHEREAS, the City Commission at its meeting of April 9, 1980, authorized
the entrance into an agreement with Florida International University (FIU) ,
to provide public sector training to older workers subsidized by CETA, IID, and
WHEREAS, due to delays in obtaining signatures Florida International
University has requested a two-week deferment in starting the training pro-
gram, and
WHEREAS, it is the Administration's recommendation that the City Com-
mission approve a change in the term of performance of the agreement as
requested;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the agreement with Florida International Univer-
sity as heretofore approved by the City Commission on April 9, 1980, (Resolution
No. 80-16242) , be and the same is hereby as follows:
"Section 1 (that portion thereof reading as follows) :
"The term of performance of these services is from April 7, 1980, to
May 31, 1980",
be and the same is amended to read as follows:
"Section 1 (that portion thereof. . .)
The term of performance of these services is from April 21, 1980,
to June 30, 1980".

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
BEACH AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT WITH FLORIDA
INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY (FIU) TO PROVIDE PUBLIC SECTOR
TRAINING TO BE FUNDED BY CETA.
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach is party to a subgrant agreement with
the South Florida Employment and Training Consortium (SFETC) providing for the
performance of certain services, known as Title IID Public Service Employment,
and,
WHEREAS, the subgrant agreement with SFETC provides for certain
training services, and funds therefore, and
WHEREAS, an appropriate agreement has been prepared which provides
for payment to FIU to the extent that the City receives funds from the SFETC in
account of such services being provided, and
WHEREAS, the City Manager has recommended that the City enter into
said agreement, and
WHEREAS, the City Attorney has approved same as to form and legal
sufficiency;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH, that the Mayor and City Clerk be and they are hereby authorized
to execute said agreement, a copy of which is attached hereto, for and on the
behalf of the City of Miami Beach.
