RESOLUTION NO. 80-16261
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING
THE EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT WITH THE MIAMI
BEACH REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY FOR THE ALLO-
CATION OF LAWCON GRANT FUNDS FOR SOUTH SHORE
PARK IMPROVEMENTS .
WHEREAS, for the reasons more particularly set forth in
Commission Memorandum No. 8182 , the City Commission of the City of
Miami Beach deems it in the best interest of the citizens of Miami
Beach to enter into an agreement with the MIAMI BEACH REDEVELOPMENT
AUTHORITY, the terms of which are familiar to the City Commission
and which contract is included in the agenda package for the meeting
at which this Resolution was adopted; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends the City enter into
said agreement and the City Attorney has approved same as to form
and legal sufficiency;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and City Clerk
be and they are hereby authorized and directed to enter into said
agreement for and on behalf of the City of Miami Beach.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 23rd day of April , 1980 .

SUBJECT: EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT WITH THE MIAMI BEACH
REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY FOR THE ALLOCATION OF LAWCON
GRANT FUNDS FOR SOUTH SHORE PARK IMPROVEMENTS
At its regular meeting of December 6, 1978, the City Commission
approved Resolution No. 78-15788 authorizing the acceptance of
a Federal Grant for the development of South Shore Park in the
South Beach Redevelopment area. This is the property which was
owned by the U.S. Corps of Engineers and has been deeded to the
City of Miami Beach.
Attached is a Resolution which authorizes the execution of an
Agreement between the City of Miami Beach and the Miami Beach
Redevelopment Agency for the allocation of the LAWCON Grant
funds to the Agency. This is necessary because the City of
Miami Beach is the recipient of the Grant.

The Administration recommends the execution of this Agreement.
