A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF LEASE
AMENDMENT WITH AMERICAN SOCIETY FOR MICRO-
BIOLOGY, FOR USE OF THE NORTH HALL, SOUTH
HALL, NORTH AND SOUTH HALL MEETING ROOMS OF
THE MIAMI BEACH CONVENTION CENTER ON
MAY 9 - 16 , 1980 .
WHEREAS, the CITY OF MIAMI BEACH entered into a lease
agreement with
AMERICAN SOCIETY FOR MICROBIOLOGY
hereinafter referred to as LESSEE, said agreement having been
approved by the City Commission on
OCTOBER 3, 1979
for use of certain premises and facilities of the City of Miami
Beach, to wit:
NORTH HALL, SOUTH HALL, NORTH AND SOUTH HALL
MEETING ROOMS OF THE MIAMI BEACH CONVENTION CENTER
for the event known as:
CONVENTION AND EXHIBITS
on
NORTH AND SOUTH HALLS - MAY 9-16 , 1980
NORTH AND SOUTH HALL MEETING ROOMS - MAY 10-16 , 1980
and
WHEREAS, said LESSEE has requested an amendment to said
agreement as set forth in Commission Memorandum No. 8235 , a copy
of which is included in the agenda for the meeting at which this
Resolution was adopted, and
WHEREAS, all other terms and conditions of the existing
agreement shall remain the same, and
WHEREAS, an appropriate Amendment to Agreement, signed
by the said LESSEE and approved as to form and legal sufficiency
by the City Attorney, is attached hereto and made a part hereof ,
the provisions of which are familiar to the City Commission;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE C I 7Y O MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Amendment to the exist-
ing agreement

Dear Ray:
This letter wi l l serve as an Amendment to Contract dated August 14,
1979 between American Society for Microbiology, lessee, and the
City of Miami Beach, Florida, lessor, for your Convention in May of
1980, whereby you will use the North and South Hall Meeting Rooms on
May 16, 1980 instead of move out, at an additional cost of One Thousand
Two Hundred and no/100 ($1 ,200.00) Dollars payable on signing of this
Amendment.
All other terms and conditions of the existing Agreement to remain
the same.
This letter is being sent to you in triplicate. Please sign all three
copies where indicated and return to this office immediately so that
we can have it properly executed. A copy will be returned to you when
completed.
