RESOLUTION NO. 80-16286
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE EXECU-
TION OF AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF MIAMI
BEACH, FLORIDA, AND ALEXANDER GRANT AND COMPANY,
PROVIDING FOR THE PREPARATION OF AN ANNUAL AUDIT
OF THE MIAMI BEACH PARKING REVENUE SYSTEM.
WHEREAS, for the reasons more particularly set forth in
Commission Memorandum No. /, the City Commission of the City
of Miami Beach finds it in the best interest of said City to
enter into an agreement with Alexander Grant and Company at the
negotiated fee of $10 , 000. 00 for the purpose of providing
a certified annual audit of the Miami Beach Parking Revenue System;
and
WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends the City enter into
said agreement, and the City Attorney has approved same as to form
and legal sufficiency;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the City Manager be and
he is hereby authorized and directed to enter into said agreement
for and on behalf of the City of Miami Beach.

SUBJECT: AWARD OF CONTRACT - ANNUAL AUDIT OF THE MIAMI BEACH PARKING REVENUE
SYSTEM FOR YEAR ENDED 12/31/79
It is compulsory for the City of Miami Beach to obtain a certified
annual audit of the Miami Beach Parking Revenue System in order to
maintain the ability to sell bonds in the Investment Market and to
comply with the reporting requirements of the State of Florida.
The City Administration, in order to acquire such services, requested
audit proposals from various Certified Public Accounting firms, and
after appropriate evaluation and review, selected for consideration
by the City Commission, the firm of Alexander Grant and Company at
the negotiated fee of $10,000. The prior year audit for calendar
year 1978 was performed by Coopers & Lybrand, C.P.A for a fee
amounting to $10,700.
ADMINISTRATION RECOMMENDATION
The City Administration recommends that the contract for the annual
certified audit of the Parking Revenue System be awarded to the firm
of Alexander Grant and Company for the negotiated fee of $10,000.
