A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING
THE EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT FOR MODIFICA-
TION OF LEASE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, AND THE STATE OF FLORIDA,
DEPARTMENT OF HIGHWAY SAFETY AND MOTOR VEHICLES ,
PROVIDING FOR THE EXECUTION OF AN INTERIM AGREE-
MENT EXTENDING THE LEASE AGREEMENT ENTERED INTO
ON MAY 21, 1975, WHICH EXPIRES JULY 31, 1980.
WHEREAS , for the reasons more particularly set
forth in Commission Memorandum No. 8287 , the City Commission
of the City of Miami Beach finds it in the best of said City
to enter into an agreement with the State of Florida,
Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles , Division of
Driver Licenses , Bureau of Field Operations , for the purpose
of extending the existing lease on a month to month basis not
to exceed eleven (11 ) months or until the proposed expanded
inspection facility can be occupied; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends the City
enter into said agreement, and the City Attorney has approved
same as to form and legal sufficiency;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSON OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the
Mayor and the City Clerk be and they are hereby authorized
and directed to execute and deliver said agreement for and
on behalf of the City of Miami Beach, Florida.
