A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF LEASE
AMENDMENT WITH I .B.S. FLEA MARKETS, INC. , FOR
THE USE OF THE NORTH AND SOUTH HALLS OF THE
MIAMI BEACH CONVENTION CENTER ON NOVEMBER 30-
DECEMBER 8, 1980.
WHEREAS, the CITY OF MIAMI BEACH entered into a lease
agreement with
I.B. S. FLEA MARKETS, INC.
hereinafter referred to as LESSEE, said agreement having been
approved by the City Commission on
DECEMBER 5, 1979
for use of certain premises and facilities of the City of Miami
Beach, to wit:
NORTH AND SOUTH HALLS OF THE MIAMI BEACH CONVENTION CENTER
for the event known as:
WORLD' S LARGEST INDOOR FLEA MARKET
on
NOVEMBER 30-DECEMBER 8, 1980
and
WHEREAS, said LESSEE has requested an amendment to said
agreement as set forth in Commission Memorandum No. 8359 , a copy
of which is included in the agenda for the meeting at which this
Resolution was adopted, and
WHEREAS, all other terms and conditions of the existing
agreement shall remain the same, and
WHEREAS, an appropriate Amendment to Agreement , signed by
the said LESSEE and approved as to form and legal sufficiency by the
City Attorney, is attached hereto and made a part hereof, the pro-
visions of which are familiar to the City Commission ;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Amendment to the existing
lease agreement as set forth in said Commission Memorandum be and the
same is hereby accepted and approved, and the Mayor and City Clerk be
and they are hereby authorized and directed to execute said Amend-
ment to Agreement in the name of and on behalf of the CITY.

LEASE
APPROVED: By Commission on December 5, 1979.
AMENDMENT Lessee will use the South Hall of the Miami Beach Convention Center
PURPOSE: in addition to the North Hall at the same time and on the same
dates stipulated in the contract.
RATE: Cost to read as follows: 40 per square foot for net exhibit
space sold with a minimum guarantee of $15,000.00 for each
building.
RECOMMENDATION: APPROVE
