A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF LEASE
AMENDMENT WITH JEWELER 'S INTERNATIONAL
SHOWCASE, INC. FOR THE USE OF THE SOUTH HALL
OF THE MIAMI BEACH CONVENTION CENTER ON
JANUARY 8-13, 1981.
WHEREAS, the CITY OF MIAMI BEACH entered into a lease
agreement with
JEWELER'S INTERNATIONAL SHOWCASE, INC.
hereinafter referred to as LESSEE, said agreement having been
approved by the City Commission on
JANUARY 16, 1980
for use of certain premises and facilities of the City of Miami
Beach, to wit:
SOUTH HALL OF THE MIAMI BEACH CONVENTION CENTER
for the event known as:
FINE JEWELRY AND DIAMOND SHOW (OPEN TO TRADE ONLY)
on
JANUARY 8-13, 1981
and
WHEREAS, said LESSEE has requested an amendment to said
agreement as set forth in Commission Memorandum No. 8360 , a copy
of which is included in the agenda for the meeting at which this
Resolution was adopted, and
WHEREAS, all other terms and conditions of the existing
agreement shall remain the same, and
WHEREAS, an appropriate Amendment to Agreement , signed by
the said LESSEE and approved as to form and legal sufficiency by the
City Attorney, is attached hereto and made a part hereof, the pro-
visions of which are familiar to the City Commission;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Amendment to the existing
lease agreement as set forth in said Commission Memorandum be and the
same is hereby accepted and approved, and the Mayor and City Clerk be
and they are hereby authorized and directed to execute said Amend-
ment to Agreement in the name of and on behalf of the CITY.

ADDENDUM Lessor, through the approval of the Miami Beach City Commission
PURPOSE: at its meeting on June 18, 1980, agrees that it will not allow
the performance of any other Fine Jewelry Trade Show (a closed
to the public event) in the facilities for a period of 120
days - 30 days before and 90 days after the event,
January 8-13, 1981 in the South Hall of the Miami Beach Convention
Center.
