Resolution 80-16381 RESOLUTION NO. 80-16381 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE EXECU- TION OF AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, AND ALEXANDER GRANT AND COMPANY, PROVIDING FOR THE PREPARATION OF AN AUDIT OF THE MIAMI BEACH PARKING REVENUE SYSTEM FOR THE PERIOD JANUARY 1, 1980, THROUGH SEPTEMBER 30, 1980 WHEREAS, for the reasons more particularly set forth in Commission Memorandum No. 8565 , the City Commission of the City of Miami Beach finds it in the best interest of said City to enter into an agreement with Alexander Grant and Company at the negotiated fee of $11,000 for the purpose of providing a certified audit of the Miami Beach Parking Revenue System; and WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends the City enter into said agreement, and the City Attorney has approved same as to form and legal sufficiency; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized and directed to enter into said agreement for and on behalf of the City of Miami Beach. Toal • City Manager SUBJECT: AWARD OF CONTRACT - AUDIT OF THE MIAMI BEACH PARKING SYSTEM FOR THE PERIOD ENDED SEPTEMBER 30, 1980 In conjunction with the change in fiscal year for the Miami Beach Parking System as approved in Commission Memorandum No. 8416 and Resolution No. 80-16362, it is necessary to obtain a certified audit for the period January 1, 1980, through September 30,..,1980. This is required in order to maintain the ability to sell bonds in the In- vestment Market and tb comply with the reporting requirements of the State of Florida. The City Administration has received a proposal from Alexander Grant and Company to perform such services for the fee of $11,000. The prior year audit was also performed by Alexander Grant and Company for a fee of $10,000. ADMINISTRATION RECOMMENDATION The City Administration recommends that the contract for the certified audit of the Parking Revenue System for the period January 1, 1980 through September 30, 1980, be awarded to the firm of Alexander Grant and Company for the negotiated fee of $11,000.
