RESOLUTION NO. 80-16382
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE EXECU-
TION OF A LEASE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH AND ANHEUSER-BUSCH COMPANY FOR USE
OF MUNICIPAL OFF-STREET PARKING LOT 5C FROM
OCTOBER 6 THROUGH OCTOBER 8 , 1980.
WHEREAS, the Anheuser-Busch Company has requested per-
mission to lease 144 parking spaces in Municipal Off-Street Parking
Lot 5C, located immediately west of the Theater of the Performing
Arts, for a period of three days from October 6 through October 8,
1980, at a rental rate of three dollars ($3. 00) per day for each
space, for the purpose of a promotional display of Anheuser-Busch
race cars , boats, etc. ; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission deems it to be in the best
interest of the City that such agreement be entered into by and
between the City and Anheuser-Busch Company; and
WHEREAS, the City Attorney has prepared an appropriate
lease agreement, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part
hereof, the terms of which are familiar to the City Commission;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and the City Clerk
be and they are hereby authorized and directed to execute and
deliver said lease for and on behalf of the City of Miami Beach .

AGREEMENT
THIS AGREEMENT made and entered into this 24th day
of September , 1980, by and between the ANHEUSER—BUSCH
COMPANY, party of the first part, hereinafter referred to as
"Lessee", and the CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, a Florida municipal corp—
oration, party of the second part, hereinafter referred to as the
"Lessor",
WITNESSETH :
1 . The Lessor does hereby let, lease and demise to the
Lessee for a period of three (3) days from October 6, 1980 through
October 8 , 1980, one hundred forty four (144) parking spaces in
Municipal Off—Street Parking Lot 5C, located immediately west of
The Theater of the Performing Arts, at a rental rate of $3. 00 per
day for each space, for a total of One Thousand Two Hundred Ninety—
Six Dollars ($1, 296. 00) , payable in lawful money of the United
States of America, at the time of execution and delivery of this
lease agreement.
2. The Lessee will be responsible for any repairs to the
parking lot surface caused by the Lessee 's negligence to the satis -
faction of the Lessor.
3. The Lessee shall be responsible for damages to park—
ing meters which result from Lessee 's use during this time.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the Lessor has caused this Agreement
to be signed by its Mayor and attested by its City Clerk, and the
Lessee has caused the signature of its proper officers to be affix—
ed hereto, the day and year first above written.
