A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AN AGREE-
MENT WITH OPPORTUNITIES INDUSTRIALIZATION CENTER
OF DADE COUNTY, INC. , TO PROVIDE "WORLD OF WORK"
TRAINING, TO BE FUNDED BY CETA
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach is, or in the near future will
be, party to a contract with the South Florida Employment and Training
Consortium providing for the performance of certain services to be
known as Title VI Public Service Employment, and
WHEREAS, the proposal of the City to the Consortium contemplated
that certain services would be performed by Opportunities Industri-
alization Center of Dade County, Inc. , and
WHEREAS, an appropriate agreement has been prepared which provides for
payment to Opportunities Industrialization Center of Dade County, Inc. , to the
extent the City receives funds from the Consortium in account of said project,
and
WHEREAS, The City Manager has recommended that the City enter into
said agreement, and
WHEREAS, the City Attorney has approved same as to form and legal
sufficiency;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH, that the Mayor and City Clerk be and they are hereby
authorized to execute said agreement, a copy of which is attached
hereto, for and on behalf of the City of Miami Beach.
