RESOLUTION NO. 80-16406
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING
THE ISSUANCE OF A PURCHASE ORDER CONTRACT
TO PROVIDE TYPING SKILLS TRAINING FOR CETA
SUBSIDIZED EMPLOYEES.
WHEREAS, it is anticipated that the City of Miami Beach will be
a party to a Subgrant Agreement with the South Florida Employment and
Training Consortium (SFETC) providing employment and training
services to approximately fifty two (52) participants under Title
IID; and
WHEREAS, the Administration has recommended that a certain
Purchase Order Contract be issued to M.T.I. School, Inc., as
delineated in Commission Memorandum No. 8467 ; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission deems it to be in the best interest
of the City and its citizens to authorize the issuance of said
Purchase Order Contract;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the City Manager be, and he is
hereby authorized to approve and issue a Purchase Order Contract in
the amount of $10,202.00 to M.T.I. School, Inc. to provide six months
of Typing Skills training classes to approximately twelve CETA
subsidized City employees.

SUBJECT: AWARD OF PROFESSIONAL SERVICES ODNTRACTS FOR
CETA EMPLOYEE TRAINING
The South Florida Employment and Training Consortium has recently notified
the City of their acceptance of the City's FY 1981 PSE proposals. The Title
IID proposal calls for the continuation of the FY 1980 training, as follows:

Spanish Language Training &

* These trainers were awarded the base contracts in May, 1980. Current
proposals are for continuation of these classes.
FUNDING:
Funds in the above amount(s) are available in account no. 2-138-1831-551 .367

ADMINISTRATION RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the Mayor and City Commission authorize the
award for continuation of professional services contracts as described above
by adopting the attached resolutions.
