A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, SUPPORTING CONSTITUTIONAL
REVISION NO. 2 ON THE NOVEMBER 4, 1980 STATEWIDE
BALLOT WHICH ESTABLISHES A CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT
OF PRIVACY FOR EACH INDIVIDUAL.
WHEREAS, every natural person has the right to be left
alone and free from governmental intrusion into his private life;
and
WHEREAS, ten states now have some type of privacy
provision in their state constitutions; and
WHEREAS, the amendment hereby supported does not confer
complete immunity to individuals from government regulation;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the City
Commission of the City of Miami Beach hereby supports
constitutional revision No. 2 on the November 4, 1980 ballot .
PASSED and ADOPTED this 15th day of October, 1980.
