RESOLUTION ORDERING WHITEWAY IMPROVEMENT
FOR BOTH SIDES OF MARSEILLES DRIVE FROM
VERDUN DRIVE TO RUE GRANVILLE AND DESIG-
NATING SAID IMPROVEMENT TO BE WHITEWAY
IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT WW-166 AND PROVIDING
FOR SAID IMPROVEMENT TO BE AN ASSESSABLE
PROJECT IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTIONS 29
AND 30 OF THE CITY CHARTER.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA:
That the construction of the following described improvement is
hereby ordered to be made: The City Commission hereby setting forth
its intention to proceed under Sections 29 and 30 of the City
Charter:
WW-166: Both sides of Marseilles Drive from Verdun
Drive to Rue Granville.
To be improved with a Whiteway
lighting system of ornamental
posts and lamps at approximately
two hundred (200) feet apart on
each side together with necessary
transformers and other appurtenances
and with underground connections for
lighting.
As said Street , is shown on Plat
Book 40, Page 33, of the Public
Records of Dade County, Florida.
The Director of Public Works is hereby directed to prepare and
to file with the City Clerk Plans and Specifications of said im-
provement and estimate of the cost thereof, including an estimate
of the cost of the expenses of preliminary and other surveys , the
inspection and superintendence of the work, the preparation of
Plans and Specifications and Estimates, the printing and publica-
tion of Notices and Proceedings , the preparation of Bonds, inter-
est during construction, legal services, abstracts, etc. , and
any other expenses necessary and proper in conducting the pro-
ceedings and work herein provided for; and the estimated amount
to be assessed against each front foot of abutting property.
The property against which assessments are to be made for the
cost of such improvement is hereby designated as District WW-166
and is described as follows:
All of the lots or parcels of land abutting
Marseilles Drive from Verdun Drive to Rue
Granville
In estimating the amount to be assessed against abutting property
the Director of Public Works is hereby directed to apportion
to the City such portion of the total cost as shall bear the
same ratio to the total cost as the length of the street
intersections bears to the total street frontage within the
district.
The improvement shall be designated in all proceedings , assess-
ments and bonds as Whiteway Improvement WW-166 , and the property
against which assessments therefore may be made for the cost
thereof shall be designated as District WW-166 .
