RESOLUTION NO. 80-16450
A RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 79-16077,
PROVIDING FOR THE RETENTION OF FRANCES KATZ AS
SOCIAL SERVICES WORKER IN THE CITY OF MIAMI
BEACH SOCIAL SERVICES DIVISION.
WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 79-16077 passed and adopted on the
21st day of November, 1979, the City Commission of the City of Miami Beach
authorized the execution of an agreement with Frances Katz for the reten-
tion of her services as Social Services Worker in the City of Miami Beach
Social Services Division, and
WHEREAS, the Social Services Division has been allocated and
budgeted $28,074.00 ($15,074.00 from the City's General Fund for the
fiscal year 1980-81 and $13,000.00 from State Grant) , and
WHEREAS, the City Manager has recommended to the City Commission
that the City enter into an agreement with Frances Katz as Social Services
Worker in the Social Services Division at a bi-weekly salary of $554.00
for the term of one (1 ) year beginning October 1 , 1980 until September 30,
1981 , providing that the afore-described individual provide social services
work in the City of Miami Beach, Florida, for a minimum of forty (40) hours
per week, and
WHEREAS, appropriate agreement has been prepared by the City
Attorney setting forth the terms and conditions of said employment with
which the City Commission is familar, and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Miami Beach deems it
to be in the best interest of the City and its residents and citizens that
said agreement be entered into;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and City Clerk be and they
are hereby authorized and directed to execute said agreement with Frances Katz,
in the name of and on behalf of the City, and the disbursing officers of the
City are hereby authorized and directed to disburse the monies required by
the terms of said agreement from the funds of the City available for such
purpose.
