A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA ACCEPTING CHRISTMAS DECO-
RATIONS FROM THE SEACOAST TOWERS AS A GIFT TO THE
CITY, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY ADMINISTRATION TO
LOCATE SUCH DECORATIONS WHERE THE ADMINISTRATION
DEEMS APPROPRIATE DURING FUTURE HOLIDAY SEASONS.
WHEREAS, the City Commission is empowered to receive
gifts and donations from individuals within the City; and
WHEREAS, the Seacoast Towers on Collins Avenue, Miami
Beach, desires to donate at no cost to the City assorted used
Christmas decorations ; and
WHEREAS, these decorations consist of a 47-foot Christmas
tree, a 15-foot Santa Claus, and a 15-foot snowman which originally
cost Eight Thousand Nine Hundred Dollars ($8 , 900. 00) ; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Miami Beach
expresses their gratitude to Seacoast Towers for such donation;
and
WHEREAS, the City Commission authorizes the City Admin-
istration to locate such decorations where the Administration deems
appropriate during future holiday seasons;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COM-
MISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA that the City
Administration is hereby authorized to accept the donation of
Christmas decorations from the Seacoast Towers.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 19th day of November , 1980.
