RESOLUTION NO. 80-16472 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, CONGRATULATING PRESIDENT- ELECT RONALD REAGAN AND VICE PRESIDENT-ELECT GEORGE BUSH UPON THEIR ELECTION TO THEIR RESPECTIVE OFFICES. WHEREAS, it is the cornerstone of this Nation 's legacy to its children that the leaders and representatives thereof shall lead by the greater expression of its collective voice; and WHEREAS, by the collective expression thereof, the people of this Nation, every race, creed, and color, have, by great major- ity, investitured Ronald Reagan and George Bush with the trust, confidence and leadership of these United States ; and WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Miami Beach wishes to express its certainty and belief that President-Elect Reagan and Vice President-Elect Bush will bring statesmanship and administrative ability to the highest offices of these United States ; and WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Miami Beach pledges and affirms its support to the incoming Administration ; and WHEREAS, it is hoped that this Commission and the in- coming Administration will mutually support, each the other, in providing for those seeking the fruits of freedom and liberty in these United States; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMIS- SION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that it hereby expresses its warmest congratulations upon the election of Ronald Reagan and George Bush to the highest offices in these United States with the conviction that they will bring to these offices integrity, selfless devotion to duty, and the highest degree of honor .
