A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING THE REQUEST
OF THE MAHI TEMPLE TO HOLD THE 1981 SOUTHEASTERN
SHRINE ASSOCIATION CONVENTION TOURNAMENT AT
BAYSHORE GOLF COURSE ON AUGUST 7, 1981.
WHEREAS, the Mahi Shrine Temple has the honor of hosting
the 1981 Southeastern Shrine Association Convention on Miami Beach
August 6th, 7th, and 8th , 1981 ; and
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach is privileged to be the
host City for the twenty-five thousand Shriners and their families
attending the convention; and
WHEREAS, the Mahi Shrine Temple has requested the author-
ization of the City of Miami Beach to hold their 1981 Southeastern
Shrine Association Convention Tournament at Bayshore Gold Course on
August 7 , 1981;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that such request be approved and
that the City Manager be directed to close Bayshore Golf Course to
the public at 11 : 00 A.M. until the conclusion of the tournament.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 17th day of December , 1980.
