A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE EXECUTION
OF AN AMENDMENT TO AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH AND DADE COUNTY REGARDING THE PREPARATION
OF A COMPREHENSIVE URBAN RECREATION ACTION PLAN.
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach and Dade County entered into an
agreement dated January 6, 1980 providing for the preparation of a Comprehensive
Urban Recreation Action Plan and;
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach and Dade County desires to extend
the completion date as stipulated in Article II of the original agreement from
December 31, 1980 to March 31, 1981 and;
WHEREAS, an appropriate amendment to the January 6, 1980 agreement has
been approved as to legal form and sufficiency by the City Attorney, which amend-
ment sets forth the terms and conditions of said project; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission deems it to be in the best interest of the
City, its residents and citizens that said amendment to the agreement be entered
into;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and City Clerk be and they are hereby
authorized and directed to execute an amendment to the January 6, 1980 agreement,
with Dade County, in the name of and on behalf of the City.
