RESOLUTION 81-16570
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING THE
CONVENTION CENTER LEASE AND ADDENDUM WITH THE
MIAMI INTERNATIONAL BOAT SHOW.
WHEREAS, the City Manager and City Attorney have nego-
tiated a revised Lease Addendum for the use of the Convention Cen-
ter by Miami International Boat Show; and
WHEREAS, the City Attorney has advised the Commission
that said revised Addendum eliminates anti-competitive provisions
which previously existed, and encourages competition among boat
show producers by establishing a bidding procedure for award of
additional boat show leases; and
WHEREAS, Miami International Boat Show has advised the
Commission that said Addendum adequately protects its legitimate
business interests without unfairly restraining trade;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the City Commission hereby
ratifies the lease and revised Addendum between the City and the
Miami International Boat Show, and authorizes execution of said
lease by the City.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 18th day of February , 1981.
