A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF LEASE
AMENDMENT WITH DISCOUNT MANAGEMENT, INC. FOR
THE USE OF THE NORTH HALL OF THE MIAMI BEACH
CONVENTION CENTER ON SEPTEMBER 21-27 , 1981 .
WHEREAS, the CITY OF MIAMI BEACH entered into a lease
agreement with
DISCOUNT MANAGEMENT, INC.
hereinafter referred to as LESSEE, said agreement having been
approved by the City Commission on
MAY 21, 1980
for use of certain premises and facilities of the City of Miami
Beach, to wit:
NORTH HALL OF THE MIAMI BEACH CONVENTION CENTER
for the event known as:
MERCHANTS BUYING SYNDICATE TRADE SHOW
on
SEPTEMBER 21-27 , 1981
a n d
WHEREAS, said LESSEE has requested an amendment to said
agreement as set forth in Commission Memorandum No. 8853 , a copy
of which is included in the agenda for the meeting at which this
Resolution was adopted, and
WHEREAS, all other terms and conditions of the existing
agreement shall remain the same, and
WHEREAS, an appropriate Amendment to Agreement, signed
by the said LESSEE and approved as to form and legal sufficiency
by the City Attorney, is attached hereto and made a part hereof,
the provisions of which are familiar to the City Commission;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Amendment to the exist-
ing lease agreement as set forth in said Commission Memorandum be
and the same is hereby accepted pted and approved, and the Mayor and
and Clerk be and they are hereby authorized directed to ex-
ecute said' Amendment to Agreement in the name of and on behalf of
the Ci s .

LEASE By Commission on May 21, 1980
APPROVED: Cancellation approved by City Commission October 15, 1980
AMENDMENT Lessee is canceling the March 23-29, 1981 show.
PURPOSE:
RATE: Payments will be changed to read: The lessee hereby covenants
and agrees to pay the rental at the rates which will prevail
in 1981, as approved by the City Commission subject to the
following minimum rentals:
35 per square foot for net exhibit space sold with a minimum
guarantee of $7,500.00.
RECOMMENDATION: APPROVE
