RESOLUTION NO. 81-16621
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, REQUESTING
EXEMPTION FROM TAXES ON THE PROPERTY ACQUIRED
BY THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, KNOWN AS THE
COLONY THEATRE, 1040-1050 LINCOLN ROAD, MIAMI
BEACH, FLORIDA, FROM THE DATE OF ACQUISITION,
MARCH 13 , 1981, PURSUANT TO FLORIDA STATUTES,
SECTION 196 . 199
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach, Florida, has acquired
for public purposes , the following described property, in
accordance with Chapter 73 of the Florida Statutes, on March 13 ,
1981:
Lot 12 , Block 47 , Lincoln Subdivison,
according to the plat thereof recorded in Plat
Book 9 , at page 69 of the Public Records of
Dade County, Florida, together with the
building as is, the seats and the big screen.
NOW, THERFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the City of Miami Beach
herewith formally request exemption from taxes on the property
herein set forth, from the date of acquisition thereof , pursuant to
Florida Statutes, Section 196 . 199 ;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the certified copies of this
Resolution be transmitted forthwith to the County Manager of Dade
County, Florida, and to the various county tax officials.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 1st day of April , 1981.
