A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF LEASE
AMENDMENT WITH JEWELERS INTERNATIONAL SHOWCASE,
INC. FOR THE USE OF THE NORTH HALL OF THE MIAMI
BEACH CONVENTION CENTER ON JANUARY 7-13 , 1982.
WHEREAS, the CITY OF MIAMI BEACH entered into a lease
agreement with JEWELERS INTERNATIONAL SHOWCASE, INC. , hereinafter
referred to as LESSEE, said agreement having been approved by the
City Commission on March 5, 1980 for the use of the NORTH HALL of the
MIAMI BEACH CONVENTION CENTER for the event known as :
FINE JEWELRY AND DIAMOND SHOW
on January 7-13 , 1982 ; and
WHEREAS, said LESSEE has requested an amendment to said
agreement , as set forth in the March 16 , 1981 letter from the
Convention Center Director to Lessee, a copy of which is attached
hereto; and
WHEREAS, the terms and conditions of the existing agree-
ment are stated in said letter ; and
WHEREAS, an appropriate Amendment to Agreement, signed by
the said LESSEE and approved as to form and legal sufficiency by the
City Attorney, is attached hereto and made a part hereof , the provi-
sions of which are familiar to the City Commission;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Amendment to the existing
lease agreement be and the same is hereby accepted and approved, and
the Mayor and City Clerk be and they are hereby authorized and di-
rected to execute said Amendment to Agreement in the name of and on
behalf of the CITY.
