RESOLUTION NO. 81-16682
A RESOLUTION CALLING A PUBLIC HEARING ON
RECOMMENDATION OF THE PLANNING BOARD TO AMEND
ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1891 REGARDING ACCESSORY
USE SIGN REGULATIONS AS APPLIED TO HOTELS,
MOTELS, AND APARTMENT-HOTELS IN THE RM-100
MULTIPLE FAMILY MEDIUM HIGH DENSITY DISTRICT AND
THE RM-125 MULTIPLE-FAMILY HIGH DENSITY DISTRICT.
WHEREAS, the Planning Board of the City of Miami Beach, at
a Public Hearing on May 14, 1981, approved proposed amendments to Sections
11-1, M-8, 7-3B-5a and the creation of Section 11-1-C-6, to permit hotels,
motels and apartment-hotels, under certain stipulations to have signage
advertising accessory entertainment uses; and
WHEREAS, said action of the Planning Board has been duly trans-
mitted to the City Commission pursuant to Section 16 of said Ordinance.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that a Public Hearing for consideration of
the aforementioned proposed amendments to the Zoning Ordinance is hereby called
to be held before the City Commission in its Chambers on the Third Floor of City
Hall, 1700 Convention Center Drive, Miami Beach, Florida beginning at 3:30
p.m. on the 8th day of July , 1981, and the City Clerk is hereby
authorized and directed to publish appropriate Public Notice of said Public
Hearing to be published in a newspaper of general circulation in the City of
Miami Beach, at which time and place all interested parties will be heard.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 3rd day of June , 1981.
