A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, AMENDING
RESOLUTION NO. 83-17426 WHICH WAS ADOPTED ON
JULY 20 , 1983 CALLING A SPECIAL ELECTION ON
NOVEMBER 1, 1983 FOR SUBMISSION TO THE
ELECTORATE AN AMENDMENT TO THE CITY CHARTER
RELATING TO ADULT CONGREGATE LIVING FACILI-
TIES , NURSING HOMES , HEALTH ADVISORY BOARD
AND LOW INCOME HOUSING PROJECTS SO AS TO
CHANGE THE QUESTION NUMBER FROM QUESTION
NUMBER SIX TO QUESTION NUMBER THREE ON THE
BALLOT.
WHEREAS , on July 20 , 1983 the City Commission adopted a
resolution calling for a special election to be held on November
1, 1983 for submission to the electorate of an amendment to the
City Charter relating to adult congregate living facilities,
nursing homes, health advisory board and low income housing
projects; and
WHEREAS, section 6 of resolution No. 83-17426 provides
for the form of the notice of the proposed amendment to the City
Charter relating to adult congregate living facilities, nursing
homes, health advisory board and low income housing projects and
that such amendment shall be question #6; and
WHEREAS , section 7 of resolution No. 83-17426 placed the
proposed amendment to the City Charter relating to adult
congregate living facilities, nursing homes, health advisory board
and low income housing projects, on the ballot as question #6; and
WHEREAS , the City Commission on September 7 , 1983 passed
resolutions to remove other unrelated questions from the ballot;
and
WHEREAS , as a result of the removal of questions from
the ballot the City Commission deems it in the best interest of
the City to amend sections 6 and 7 of resolution no. 83-17426 by
renumbering the ballot question from question #6 to question #3;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that section six
and section seven of resolution number 83-17426 is hereby amended
to reflect that the ballot question number be changed from
question #6 to question #3;

FURTHER, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Clerk shall take
the necessary action to effectuate this amendment.
