A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING AND
AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH TO ACCEPT
DONATIONS FROM FARFROMBORING PROMOTIONS.COM,
LLC, IN THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF $574, FOR THE CITY'S
PLASTICFREEMB EVENT, TO BE HELD ON APRIL 11, 2019,
AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER, OR HIS DESIGNEE,
TO MAKE SUCH EXPENDITURES OR REIMBURSEMENTS
CONSISTENT WITH THE AFORESTATED EVENT AND
PURPOSE.
WHEREAS, on April 11, 2019, the City of Miami, Beach ("City") Environment &
Sustainability Department will host the PlasticFreeMB event; and
WHEREAS, the event will promote the importance of reducing dependency on single-use
plastics and to encourage local businesses to become members of the PlasticFreeMB program;
and
WHEREAS, City staff has secured a donation, in the total amount of $574, for the City's
PlasticFreeMB event from FarFromBoring Promotions.com, LLC ; and
WHEREAS, the City Administration recommends that the City Commission approve and
authorize the City's acceptance of the aforestated donation and authorize the City Manager, or
his designee, to make any necessary reimbursements and/or expenditures of the aforestated
donation in furtherance of, and consistent with, the aforestated event and purpose.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and City
Commission hereby approve and authorize the City of Miami Beach to accept a donation from
FarFromBoring Promotions.com LLC, in the total amount of $574, to provide funding for the
City's PlasticFreeMB event, to be held on April 11, 2019, and authorize the City Manager, or his
designee, to make such expenditures or reimbursements consistent with the aforestated event
and purpose.

RECOMMENDATION
Adopt the resolution.
ANALYSIS
On April 11, 2019, the City of Miami Beach ("City") Environment& Sustainability Department will
host the PlasticFreeMB event. The event will promote the importance of reducing dependency
on single-use plastics and• to encourage local businesses to become members of the
PlasticFreeMB program.
City staff has secured a donation, in the total amount of $574, for the City's PlasticFreeMB
event from FarFromBoring Promotions.com, LLC.
CONCLUSION
The City Administration recommends that the City Commission approve and authorize the City
of Miami Beach to accept a donation from FarFromBoring Promotions.com LLC, in the total
amount of $574, to provide funding for the City's PlasticFreeMB event, to be held on April 11,
2019, and authorize the City Manager, or his designee, to make such expenditures or
reimbursements consistent with the aforestated event and purpose.
