A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A
SPECIAL REVENUE FUND FOR THE PURPOSE OF
ACCOUNTING FOR AND DISBURSING FUNDS RECEIVED BY
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH UNDER THE SMALL BUSINESS
ADMINISTRATION'S PARK AND RECREATIONAL AREA
DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
BEACH, FLORIDA, that effective September 7, 1983, there is hereby established a
Special Revenue Fund for SBA's Parks and Recreational Area Development Program, a
part of the Emergency lobs Bill (P.L. 98-8) in accordance with the Commission
Memorandum hereby attached and made a part thereof.
PASSED and ADOPTED this _ 21st day of September 1983.

SUBJECT: ESTABLISHMENT IF A SPECIAL REVENUE FUND FOR THE SBA' s PARKS AND RECREATIONAL
AREA DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM
Authorization is requested to establish a Special Revenue Fund for the purpose of
accounting for and disbursing the $33,151 City of Miami Beach allocation of the Small
Business Administration' s $2,001 ,700 Parks and Recreational Area Development Program,
a part of the Emergency Jobs Bill (P.L. 98-8) . -
This program is being administered by the Florida Department of Community Affairs.
The above requested accounting procedure was prescribed by the Finance Department
as being the proper accounting format for the program.
The funding allocations wi l l be as follows:

.676 Renovation or Remodeling 24 ,295.00
Total $33, 151 .00
Application and contract execution for the above program was approved during the
July 20, 1983 Commission Meeting via Resolution #83-17413, Commission Memorandum
##498-83, and is intended to provide landscaping for Ocean Front Auditorium and North
Shore Park.
ADMINISTRATION RECOMMENDATION:
The Administration recommends the establishment of a Special Revenue Fund for the
purpose of Accounting for and disbursing the $33, 151 funding allocation received
under the S.B.A. ' s Parks and Recreational Area Development Program being administered
by the State of Florida Cultural Affairs Division.
