A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE
MAYOR TO EXECUTE A LEASE AGREEMENT WITH
INTERNATIONAL TOTAL SERVICES , INC. , D/B/A
ANDY FRAIN-FLORIDA, INC. FOR THE LEASING OF
THE BAYSHORE AND NORMANDY SHORES MUNICIPAL
GOLF COURSES .
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Miami Beach
has deemed it in the best public interest for the restaurant,
food, beverage, golf instruction, golf cart, pro shop and other
recreational amenities to be under the management, supervision and
operation of one Lessee, and
WHEREAS , the City Commission is desirous of faciliting
the professional and first class operation by the Lessee of the
foregoing activities and features at the Bayshore and Normandy
Shores Municipal Golf Courses for the benefit and enjoyment of the
general public, and
WHEREAS , the City Commission solicited Requests for
Proposals pursuant to Bid No. 96-83 for the leasing of certain
concession rights at Bayshore Golf Course and Normandy Shores Golf
Course, and the Lessee has submitted the best proposal to operate,
manage, run and finance certain operations at the aforementioned
golf courses; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission has instructed the City
Manager to negotiate a lease based upon the terms and conditions
set forth in Bid No. 96-83 and the Lessee ' s proposal in response
thereto; and
WHEREAS , the parties have successfully negotiated a
lease upon certain agreed covenants and conditions contained
therein, which lease has been recommended for execution by the
City Manager ' s office;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH:
That the Mayor be authorized to execute the lease with
INTERNATIONAL TOTAL SERVICES , INC. , d/b/a ANDY FRAIN-FLORIDA,
INC. , for the leasing of the Bayshore and Normandy Shores Golf
Courses.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 21st day of September , 1983 .
