A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE
EXECUTION OF A CONCESSION AGREEMENT BETWEEN
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH AND SOUTHERN
CONCESSIONS , INC. , AND AUTHORIZING THE
ASSIGNMENT OF THE CONCESSION FROM GENERAL
CONCESSION CORP. TO SOUTHERN CONCESSIONS ,
INC.
WHEREAS , the City Commission of the City of Miami Beach
is cognizant that on or about April 9, 1980 , the City awarded food
concessions to General Concession Corporation pursuant to Bid
Award No. 28-80 for stands at 46th, 53rd and 72nd Street Municipal
Beaches for a five-year period; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission recognizes that until the
present time General Concession Corporation has been operating the
foregoing concessions and using the Request for Proposal and the
response to same as the concession contract with the City; and
WHEREAS, the City wishes to enter into a concession
agreement with this concessionaire formalizing the covenants ,
conditions, term and consideration between the parties; and
WHEREAS, the City has additionally been apprised that
the concessionaire, General Concession Corp. , has assigned this
concession to Southern Concessions, Inc. , the latter which has the
same officers, directors, and stockholders as General Concession
Corp; and
WHEREAS , the City recognizes that Southern Concessions,
Inc. assumes all of the duties and obligations of General
Concession Corp. ,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH:
1. That the City Commission authorizes the execution of
a concession agreement between Southern Concessions , Inc. and the
City of Miami Beach; and
2 . That the City of Miami Beach acknowledges and
approves of the attached Assignment of Concession dated
October 10th , 1983, between assignor , General Concession
Corporation, and assignee, Southern Concessions , Inc.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 5th day of October , 1983 .
