A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH APPROVING THE
APPROPRIATION OF CITY FUNDS FOR THE
CONSTRUCTION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH 'S
SOUTH SHORE PARK.
WHEREAS, the City administration has estimated that the
cost of constructing South Shore Park will total $3 ,550 , 000 . 00 ;
and
WHEREAS, THE South Shore Park will be funded from the
State of Florida LAWCON Grant #12-00166 in the amount of
$1,550,000 . 00 , to be matched with City funds totalling
$2,000 ,000 . 00 , to be appropriated from those City funds as set
forth more particularly in the accompanying Commission Memorandum,
NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, that:
1 . This City Commission finds, determines and declares
that the matters set out in the foregoing recitals are true and
correct, and they are hereby incorporated as a part of this
Resolution.
2. The recommendation of the City Manager as to the
appropriation of the City funds specified in the attached
Commission Memorandum totalling the amount of $2 , 000 ,000 . 00 as
matching funds for the construction of South Shore Park, is hereby
accepted and approved.
3 . The City Commission authorizes the appropriation of
those City funds totalling $2 , 000 ,000 . 00 for the construction of
South Shore Park.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 5th day of October ,
1983 .
