A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE DONATION OF ONE
(1) USED 1994 FORD F250 PICK UP TRUCK IN "AS IS" CONDITION TO
THE TEEN JOB CORPS, INC.
WHEREAS, the City wishes to donate one (1) used 1994 Ford F250 Pick-Up Truck,
with an estimated total value of $2,500, in its "as is" condition to the Teen Jobs Corps, Inc.
WHEREAS, no funds are required from the City for the donation of this vehicle; and
WHEREAS, this donation is made in "as is" condition, and the City makes no
representation as to the condition of the vehicles, and no warranties, expressed or implied,
and assumes no responsibility for said vehicle.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the City herein donates
one (1) used 1994 Ford F250 Pick Up Truck to the Teen Job Corps; said donation in its "as
is" condition, with no warranties, expressed or implied, and with the City assuming no
further responsibility for same.

As you will recall in our conversation on J~lly 4~, th~ Teton Job Corps has no
transportation t'or the Hot Dog cart: the Saturday plant tern sales at thc Normalldy
Fountain or de, livery of tools to various work sites. Right now I u~ my ~ truck to hatlt
the dog cart. Deborah R~gicro packs her t~w car whh plants, a large tent, tables,
planting dirt and oth~ items. Myra, the assistant supervisor, uses her new van tO iOM and
haul dirty brooms, shovels, and othex tools to work sites.
Our fintu~c~$ arc ~trctched to the limits just to pay te~x worlo~rs. We {~ould buy a
vehiol~: but tha~ would take tnont~y th~m future team employee pay checks or for~ us to
not hi~ so many. Given the option ofdanmging our pgr~onal vehicl~ or depriving th~
youth ofincome, leaves only one alternative. We u~e our private vahicleg reluctantly, but
thare is no better choice.
In th,, up-coming weeks tho City 'may hold aon~ auctions to reduce the vehicl~
count of tho City, du~ to n~w pmr,,has~ replacemoms. Before the City donates any mo~e
vohi~lm to some sisler ~ity, perhaps you could intt~ven~ and haw some utnnl Cily

What type oauld wg us~? It oould be a pic, k,ug, a mini van or closed van, (but not
a fir~ traCk - only kidding). Almost any vchiolc but leas~ of all & car would b~ acceptable.
It doesn't have ta ho or0ttv - just safe and reliable. Something we can use to haul 'amir,
