RESOLUTION 83-17519 RESOLUTION NO. 83-17519
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, RECOGNIZING
AND COMMENDING THE SERVICE OF NORMAN CIMENT
AS MAYOR OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH.
WHEREAS, Norman Ciment diligently served the City of
Miami Beach as Mayor from 1981 through 1983 ; and
WHEREAS, during his term there was significant progress
in repackaging and rezoning the South Shore Redevelopment area,
starting the Marina and Police Station projects, and commencing
other projects beneficial to the health, safety and welfare of
the residents of this community; and
WHEREAS, as Mayor of the City of Miami Beach, Norman
Ciment considered tourism vital to the economic health of this
tourist-oriented city, and travelled extensively to encourage and
promote tourism; and
WHEREAS, he sought constantly to serve the City to the
best of his ability having its best interests at heart;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COM-
MISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA that the service of
Norman Ciment as Mayor of the City of Miami Beach and to the
people thereof be and the same is hereby recognized and
commended.
