A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF LEASE
AGREEMENT WITH OPERA GUILD OF GREATER MIAMI ,
INC. d/b/a GREATER MIAMI OPERA ASSOCIATION FOR
USE OF THE THEATER OF THE PERFORMING ARTS OF
THE MIAMI BEACH CONVENTION CENTER JANUARY 19 ,
20, 21, 22; FEBRUARY 16 , 17 , 18 , 19; MARCH 15 ,
16 , 17 , 18; AND APRIL 12 , 13 , 14, AND 15 ,
1984.
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Miami Beach,
Florida, has been advised that
OPERA GUILD OF GREATER MIAMI , INC. d/b/a
GREATER MIAMI OPERA ASSOCIATION
desires to lease certain premises and facilities of the City of
Miami Beach, to-wit:
THE THEATER OF THE PERFORMING ARTS
OF THE MIAMI BEACH CONVENTION CENTER
for the event known as
EIGHT OPERAS AND REHEARSALS
on REHEARSAL DATES : JANUARY 19-20 , FEBRUARY 16-17 ,
MARCH 15-16 , APRIL 12-13 , 1984
OPERA DATES: JANUARY 21-22 , FEBRUARY 18-19,
MARCH 17-18, APRIL 14-15 , 1984
and
WHEREAS , an appropriate lease agreement has been
prepared by the Miami Beach Convention Center Director and
approved as to form by the City Attorney, and
WHEREAS , the City Commission has been advised of and is
familiar with the terms and provisions of the said lease agreement
and deems it to be in the best interest of the City to authorize
the execution of the said lease agreement,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA that the Mayor and the City Clerk
be and they are hereby authorized and directed to execute the
above-described lease agreement on behalf of the City, and that
the Miami Beach Convention Center Director be and he is hereby
authorized and directed to carry into effect the terms and
provisions undertaken therein by the City.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 9th day of November ,
1983 .
