A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO SPEND FUNDS PRESENTLY ALLOCATED IN
THE CONTRACT WITH BORRELLI , FRANKEL, BLITSTEIN,
DeZARRAGA, DONNELL, DUQUESNE, DAVID VOLKERT &
ASSOCIATES, FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES FOR THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH POLICE AND COURT FACILITY
AS IS NECESSARY AND PROPER TO CARRY OUT THE
ADMINISTRATION OF THIS CONTRACT.
WHEREAS, the existing contract for the Miami Beach
Police and Court Facility (hereinafter referred to as the
"Project") provides $60,000 for reimbursable expenses payable to
Borrelli , Frankel, Blitstein, DeZarraga, Donnell, Duquesne, David
Volkert & Associates (hereinafter referred to as "Architects") ;
and
WHEREAS, reimbursable expenses are defined in Article V
of this agreement but are limited to such things as out-of-town
travel, long distance communications, overtime work, and similar
expenses as are set forth therein; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to exercise Paragraph 1.81
providing for additional reimbursable expenses to update and
correct plans of the old City Hall, which, subsequent to the
execution of this agreement have been determined to be outdated;
and
WHEREAS , the Architects have agreed to provide this
service for an amount not to exceed $19 ,500; and
WHEREAS, the compensation for this service has already
been budgeted by the City as compensation to the Architects for
this project which includes $60,000 for reimbursable expenses,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT THE CITY
MANAGER IS AUTHORIZED TO SPEND FUNDS PRESENTLY PROVIDED FOR IN THE
CONTRACT AND ALREADY BUDGETED FOR THIS PROJECT, FOR REIMBURSABLE
EXPENSES IN ANY MANNER PROPER FOR THE ADMINISTRATION OF THE
CONTRACT.
