A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF LEASE
AMENDMENT WITH JEWELERS INTERNATIONAL
SHOWCASE, INC. FOR USE OF THE SOUTH HALL OF
THE MIAMI BEACH CONVENTION CENTER ON JANUARY
10 THROUGH 16, 1985 .
WHEREAS, the CITY OF MIAMI BEACH entered into a lease
agreement with
JEWELERS INTERNATIONAL SHOWCASE, INC.
hereinafter referred to as LESSEE, said agreement having been
approved by the City Commission on
MARCH 16 , 1983
for use of certain premises and facilities of the City of Miami
Beach, to-wit:
SOUTH HALL OF
THE MIAMI BEACH CONVENTION CENTER
for the event known as:
JEWELERS INTERNATIONAL SHOWCASE, INC.
on JANUARY 10 THROUGH 16, 1985
NEW DATES: JANUARY 10 THROUGH 15 , 1985
WHEREAS, said LESSEE has requested an amendment to said
agreement as set forth in Commission Memorandum No. 776-83 , a
copy of which is included in the agenda for the meeting at which
this Resolution was adopted, and
WHEREAS, all other terms and conditions of the existing
agreement shall remain the same, and
WHEREAS, an appropriate Amendment to Agreement, signed
by the said LESSEE and approved as to form and legal sufficiency
by the City Attorney, is attached hereto and made part hereof, the
provisions of which are familiar to the City Commission;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Amendment to the
existing lease agreement as set forth in said Commission
Memorandum be and the same is hereby accepted and approved, and
the Mayor and City Clerk be and they are hereby authorized and
directed to execute said Amendment to Agreement in the name of and
on behalf of the City.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 7th day of December , 1983 .

AMENDMENT Lessee will delete one show day as scheduled in the above
PURPOSE: mentioned contract thereby making the use dates as follows:
January 10-15, 1985.
RATE: Lessee hereby covenants and agrees to pay the rental at
the rates which will prevail in 1985, as approved by the
City Commission subject to the following minimum rentals
on above scheduled show:
40 per square foot used with minimum guarantee of $9,000.00.
