A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH ESTABLISHING THE MAYOR'S
AD HOC ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL AND
PRESCRIBING ITS MEMBERSHIP, DUTIES, POWER AND
AUTHORITY.
WHEREAS, the Mayor ' s Ad Hoc Economic Development Council
is hereby created. Its membership shall be composed of eighteen
members, to include the Mayor as Chairman, two (2) members to be
appointed by each Commissioner , five (5) members to be appointed
by the Mayor , and such other members as may be determined by the
recommendation of a majority of the City Commission and approved
by the Mayor . The Council' s duties and functions shall be to
advise the Mayor , Commissioners and City Administration with
regard to economic development, to work with prospective
developers and financiers for prospective developments located in
Miami Beach and to attract and to facilitate development in Miami
Beach;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor ' s
Ad Hoc Economic Development Council is hereby created.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 7th day of December , 1983 .
