RESOLUTION 83-17581 RESOLUTION NO. 83-17581 A RESOLUTION BY THE CITY COMMISSION, MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, CALLING A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE MIAMI BEACH HISTORIC PRESERVATION BOARD AND PLANNING BOARD REGARDING A CHANGE OF ZONING TO CREATE AN HISTORIC PRESERVATION DISTRICT FOR THE MUNICIPALLY OWNED PROPERTY KNOWN AS THE 21ST STREET COMMUNITY CENTER, 2100 WASHINGTON AVENUE. WHEREAS, the Historic Preservation Board of Miami Beach, at a public hearing held on September 22, 1983, recommended to the Planning Board and City Commission that the 21st Street Community Center be designated an historic preservation site and rezoned from MU, Municipal Use District to MU/HP, Municipal Use/Historic Preservation District; and; WHEREAS, the Planning Board of Miami Beach, at a public hearing held on October 25, 1983 and at its meeting on November 29, 1983, recommended to the City Commission that the historic preservation rezoning of the 21st Street Community Center site be approved, and; WHEREAS, said action of the Planning Board has been duly transmitted to the City Commission pursuant to Section 16, Changes and Amendments, of Zoning Ordinance No. 1891. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that a public hearing for consideration of the proposed ordinance as recommended by the Planning Board, is hereby called to be held in the City Commission Chambers, City Hall, 1700 Convention Center Drive, Miami Beach, Florida, beginning at 2:30 p.m., on the 18 day of January , 1984, and that the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to publish appropriate public notice of said public hearing in a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Miami Beach, at which time all interested parties will be heard.
