A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH CALLING PUBLIC HEARINGS
TO CONSIDER THE RECOMMENDATION OF THE
PLANNING BOARD OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FOR THE ADOPTION OF AN ORDINANCE AMENDING
SECTION 22-5 OF ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1891; IN
ORDER TO EXTEND THE DURATION OF THE INTERIM
DEVELOPMENT (ID) DISTRICT FOR A MAXIMUM
PERIOD OF SIX (6) MONTHS.
WHEREAS, the Planning Board of the City of Miami Beach, after a public
hearing on November 29, 1983, recommended to the City Commission that the below
captioned ordinance be incorporated into the Zoning Ordinance as approved and
recommended by said Board, said Ordinance being entitled as follows:
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA, AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 1891, OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, THE SAME BEING THE
COMPREHENSIVE ZONING ORDINANCE BY
MODIFYING SECTION 22-5 IN ORDER TO EXTEND THE
DURATION OF THE ID - INTERIM DEVELOPMENT
DISTRICT FROM ONE (1) YEAR TO A PERIOD NOT TO
EXCEED EIGHTEEN (18) MONTHS FROM ITS
EFFECTIVE DATE; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN
CONFLICT THEREWITH; PROVIDING FOR
SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE
DATE
AND WHEREAS, said action of the Planning Board has been duly
transmitted to the City Commission pursuant to Section 16, Changes and Amendments, of
Zoning Ordinance No. 1891.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
of the City of Miami Beach, Florida; that public hearings for the consideration of the
aforementioned proposed zoning ordinance amendment are hereby called to be held before
the City Commission at its Chambers on the third floor of City Hall, 1700 Convention
Center Drive, Miami Beach, Florida, as follows:
Wednesday, December 21, 1983 5:00 P.M. 1st required hearing
Wednesday, January 4, 1984 5:00 P.M. 2nd required hearing
The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to publish in a newspaper of general
circulation in the City of Miami Beach, notice of said hearings, at which time and place all
interested parties will be heard.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 7th day of December , 1983.
