RESOLUTION N O . 83-17600
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH , FLORIDA ADOPTING THE
RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI BEACH MARINE AUTHORITY
WHEREAS , Metropolitan Dade County has proposed to adopt
an ordinance which would place additional financial burdens on
Miami Beach marinas without any additional benefits ; and
WHEREAS , the Miami Beach City Commission is interested
in the continued revitalization of the waterfronts in and around
Miami Beach ; and
Marine Authorityhas the Miami Beach Passed and
adopted a resolution requesting the Miami Beach City Commission to go
on the record against the passing of the Dade County Marine Ordinance ;
NOW , THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH , FLORIDA , that it opposes the proposed
changes to the Metro Dade County Ordinance , Amending Section : 24-3
and 24-35 . 1 and Creating Section : 24-11 and 24-58 . 16 as it relates
to regulating docking facilities , operating permits , and creating
advisory committees on liveaboard vessels .
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 21st day of December , 1983 .
