Resolution 84-17608 RESOLUTION NO. 83-17608 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING EXECUTION OF SOUTH FLORIDA EMPLOYMENT AND TRAINING CONSORTIUM AGREEMENT; AND DESIGNATING THE CITY MANAGER AS THE OFFICIAL CITY REPRESENTATIVE. WHEREAS, the Comprehensive Employment and Training Act has been replaced by the Job Training Partnership Act; and WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach desires to continue its participation in Federal Employment and Training Programs; and WHEREAS, such participation has been on a consortium basis with Dade County and neighboring municipalities; and WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach desires to continue said consortium relationship with the Counties of Dade and Monroe and the Cities of Miami and Hialeah; and WHEREAS, an appropriate replacement consortium agreement has been prepared and approved by the members of the South Florida Employment and Training Consortium, providing for anexpiration date of June 30, 1986, but terminable at will on specified conditions; subject to the ratification by the governing bodies of the members; and WHEREAS, the entry into said consortium agreement has been recommendedby the City Manager and approved by the City Attorney as to legal form and sufficiency; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the City Manager and the City Clerk be and they are hereby authorized and directed to execute the said agreement in the name of and on behalf of the City of Miami Beach. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the City Manager be and he is hereby designated as the official and duly authorized representative of the City of Miami Beach in said Consortium.
