A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH CALLING A PUBLIC HEARING
TO CONSIDER THE RECOMMENDATION OF THE
PLANNING BOARD OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FOR THE ADOPTION OF AN ORDINANCE AMENDING
SECTION 23 OF ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1891 IN
ORDER TO ESTABLISH DESIGN REVIEW REGULATIONS
AND A DESIGN REVIEW BOARD.
WHEREAS, the Planning Board of the City of Miami Beach, after a public
hearing on November 29, 1983, followed by a special meeting on December 13, 1983,
recommended to the City Commission that the below captioned ordinance be incorporated
into the Zoning Ordinance as approved and recommended by said Board, said Ordinance
being entitled as follows:
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH
AMENDING THE COMPREHENSIVE ZONING
ORDINANCE NO. 1891; PROVIDING FOR AN
AMENDMENT TO SECTION 23 SITE PLAN REVIEW
REGULATIONS BY ESTABLISHING A DESIGN REVIEW
BOARD AND REGULATIONS AND IDENTIFYING
CERTAIN AREAS OF JURISDICTION; PROVIDING A
DESCRIPTION OF THE PROPERTY TO BE LOCATED
THEREIN; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
AND WHEREAS, said action of the Planning Board has been duly
transmitted to the City Commission pursuant to Section 16, Changes and Amendments, of
Zoning Ordinance No. 1891.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA; that a public hearing for the consideration of
the aforementioned proposed zoning ordinance amendment is hereby called to be held before
the City Commission at its Chambers on the Third Floor of City Hall, 1700 Convention
Center Drive, Miami Beach, Florida beginning at 2:30 P.M. on the 15th day of
February , 1984 and the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to publish in
a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Miami Beach, at which time and place all
interested parties will be heard. Resolution adopted by City Commission on January 4th ,
1984. Inquiries concerning this matter are to be directed to Mr. Sanford Youkilis, Director
of Planning, 673-7550.
