RESOLUTION NO. 84_17630
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, URGING AND
REQUESTING THE VISITOR AND CONVENTION CENTER
AUTHORITY TO AID THE CITY WITH SUPPORT AND
FUNDING OF SPECIAL EVENTS FOR THE CITY.
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Miami
Beach is desirous of encourgaging citizens to conduct events of
interest to tourists and citizens alike; and
WHEREAS, the City has a limited budget within which it
can help to fund such special events; and
WHEREAS, the Visitor and Convention Authority would
encourage tourism by supporting and funding events of interest;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COM-
MISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA that they urge and
request the Visitor and Convention Center Authority to aid the
City with support and funding of special events for the City.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 18th day of January, 1984.
