A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, DESIGNATING SY
EISENBERG AS THE CITY'S REPRESENTATIVE FOR
THE PURPOSE OF SEEKING SUPPORT FOR THE LOCA-
TION OF A FLORIDA INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY
FACILITY IN SOUTH POINTE.
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Miami
Beach is desirous of having a Florida International University
facility located on South Pointe; and
WHEREAS, location of a Florida International Univer-
sity
niver-
sity facility on South Pointe would be of great benefit to the
citizens of Miami Beach by providing numerous educational advan-
tages; and
WHEREAS, a Florida International University facility
would assist in the South Pointe Redevelopment effort already in
progress;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COM-
MISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA that Sy Eisenberg be
designated as the City ' s representative for the purpose of
seeking support for the location of a Florida International
University facility in South Pointe.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 1st day of February, 1984.
