A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE COUNTY CANVASSING
BOARD TO SERVE AS CANVASSING BOARD FOR THE
SPECIAL ELECTION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH TO
BE HELD AT THE TIME OF THE MARCH 13, 1984
PRESIDENTIAL PREFERENCE PRIMARY.
WHEREAS, on March 13 , 1984 , Dade County will be
conducting the Presidential Preference Primary, at which time the
City has authorized the holding of a special election relating to
issuance of bonds and charter amendments; and
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach under the auspices of
Dade County, will be submitting to its electorate the aforesaid
ballot questions at said election; and
WHEREAS, Dade County is charged with the full
responsibility of conducting the aforesaid election, short of
certifying the results of the City of Miami Beach ' s ballot
questions; and
WHEREAS, the County Canvassing Board shall be charged
with the statutory responsiblities relating to the conduct of
elections for the March 13, 1984 special election and shall act as
Canvassing Board for the City of Miami Beach,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, that the County Convassing Board is
hereby authorized to act as Canvassing Board for the special
election of the City of Miami Beach for the March 13 , 1984
Presidential Preference Primary.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 1st day of February ,
1984 .
