A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, DECLARING THE
CITY OWNED PROPERTY LOCATED ON THE NORTHEAST
CORNER OF 4TH STREET AND ALTON ROAD, MIAMI
BEACH, FLORIDA, NAMELY LOTS 1, 2 , 3 , AND 4
OF OCEAN BEACH ADDITION NO. 3 AS SURPLUS
PROPERTY AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
PREPARE AND SOLICIT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL
FOR THE SALE AND DISPOSITION OF SAID PROP-
ERTY IN ACCORDANCE WITH FLORIDA STATUTES
163.80 .
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Miami
Beach has decided that development of the property located at
4th Street and Alton Road would be conducive to encouraging the
public purpose of further development in the South Shore
Redevelopment area; and
WHEREAS, the City has no plans now or in the future to
develop said property for its own use; and
WHEREAS, appraisals for the fair value of the property
have been completed; and
WHEREAS, The City is desirous of preparing and solic-
iting requests for proposals for the use of said property;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COM-
MISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA:
That the City owned property located on the northeast
corner of 4th Street and Alton road, Miami Beach, Florida,
namely lots 1, 2 , 3 , and 4 of Ocean Beach Addition No. 3 be
declared as surplus property and that the City Manager be
authorized to prepare and solicit a request for proposal for the
sale and disposition of said property in accordance with Florida
Statutes 163.80 .
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 1st day of February 1984 .
