A RESOLUTION REPEALING RESOLUTION NO. 84-17616
CALLING A SPECIAL ELECTION ON MARCH 13 , 1984 ,
FOR THE PURPOSE OF SUBMITTING PROPOSED AMEND-
MENTS TO THE CITY CHARTER RE: STAGGERED TERMS
FOR COMMISSIONERS; ISSUANCE OF BONDS , AND
INCREASING NUMBER OF MEMBERS OF BOARD OF ADJUST-
MENT, FOR APPROVAL OR DISAPPROVAL.
WHEREAS , on January 13, 1984 , by Resolution No. 84-17616 , the City
Commission of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, called a special election
to be held on March 13 , 1984 , for the submittal to the electorate of three
proposed amendments to the City Charter, being duly designated Questions
2 , 3 and 4 , and relating respectively to providing for staggered terms
for City Commissioners , issuance of bonds ; and increasing the number
of the Board of Adjustment, and
WHEREAS , on February 15 , 1984 , the City Commission, after due consideration,
determined that the aforesaid designated questions should not be placed
on the ballot at this time;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
BEACH, FLORIDA, that Resolution No. 84-17616 calling the March 13 , 1984 ,
Special Election on the three questions , be and the same is hereby re-
pealed.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Supervisor of Elections of Metropolitan
Dade County be authorized and directed to take whatever steps may be
necessary to provide for the removal of the three questions from the City
of Miami Beach Special Election ballot of March 13 , 1984 .
PASSED and ADOPTED this 15th day of February, 1984 .
