A RESOLUTION WAIVING THE $150 . 00 RENTAL FEE FOR
PIER PARK BANDSHELL FOR THE SOUTH FLORIDA COUNCIL
OF THE BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA CLOSING CEREMONY OF
THE ANNUAL BAREFOOT MAILMAN HIKE TO BE HELD ON
FEBRUARY 26 , 1984 . (After the fact)
WHEREAS , the Boy Scouts of America are a non profit organization
dedicated to providing positive activities for the youth of America;
and
WHEREAS , the Barefoot Mailman Hike has become a tradition in the
South Florida area , and the City of Miami Beach' s participation
has been an integral part of that tradition;
NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH, that the Pier Park Bandshell rental fee of $150 . 00
be waived for the reasons more particularly outlined in the accom-
panying Commission Memorandum.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 14th day of March , 1984 .
