A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF LEASE
AMENDMENT WITH RINGLING BROS . BARNUM & BAILEY
COMBINED SHOWS, INC. FOR USE OF THE NORTH HALL
OF THE MIAMI BEACH CONVENTION CENTER ON APRIL
15 THROUGH 30 , 1984 .
WHEREAS , the CITY OF MIAMI BEACH entered into a lease
agreement with
RINGLING BROS . BARNUM & BAILEY COMBINED SHOWS, INC.
hereinafter referred to as LESSEE, said agreement having been
approved by the City Commission on
APRIL 20 , 1983
for use of certain premises and facilities of the City of Miami
Beach, to-wit:
THE NORTH HALL OF THE MIAMI BEACH CONVENTION CENTER
for the event known as:
WALT DISNEY'S GREAT ICE ODYSSEY
on APRIL 15 THROUGH 30, 1984
LESSEE WILL ADD SIX PERFORMANCES IN ADDITION TO
THE 18 SET FORTH IN THE CONTRACT. THE NAME HAS
BEEN CHANGED TO "WALT DISNEY'S MAGIC KINGDOM ON ICE"
WHEREAS , said LESSEE has requested an amendment to said
agreement as set forth in Commission Memorandum No. 189-84 , a
copy of which is included in the agenda for the meeting at which
this Resolution was adopted, and
WHEREAS, all other terms and conditions of the existing
agreement shall remain the same, and
WHEREAS, an appropriate Amendment to Agreement, signed
by the said LESSEE and approved as to form and legal sufficiency
by the City Attorney, is attached hereto and made part hereof, the
provisions of which are familiar to the City Commission;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Amendment to the
existing lease agreement as set forth in said Commission
Memorandum be and the same is hereby accepted and approved, and
the Mayor and City Clerk be and they are hereby authorized and
directed to execute said Amendment to Agreement in the name of and
on behalf of the City.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 4th day of April, 1984 .

APPROVED:
AMENDMENT Adding six performances in addition to the eighteen
PURPOSE: set forth in the contract. The name has been changed
to Walt Disney' s Magic Kingdom on Ice.
RATE: There is an additional cost of $15,000.00 making a
total minimum guarantee of $60,000.00 or 10% of
gross receipts, after taxes, whichever sum is greater,
from sale of admission tickets.
RECOMMENDATION: APPROVE
