RESOLUTION 84-17689 RESOLUTION NO. 84-17689 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, PLACING CERTAIN NEGOTIATED AND AGREED UPON LANGUAGE INTO THE CONTRACT BETWEEN THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH AND THE MIAMI BEACH EMPLOYEES' BENEVOLENT ASSOCIATION AND RATIFYING THE NEGOTIATED WAGE SETTLEMENT. WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach and the Miami Beach Employees' Benevolent Association reopened wage negotiations and certain other negotiations per Contract and have agreed on certain issues, the following language, which has been agreed to by both parties, shall be considered as a part of the Miami Beach Employees' Benevolent Association Contract and shall be placed therein: WAGE SETTLEMENT Wage increases to be effective on or payroll commencing nearest the following dates: February 1, 1984 (retroactive) 3% August 1, 1984 5% November 1, 1984 3% August 1, 1985 5% The Contract will expire on January 31, 1986. If Amendment #1 passes, City will elect to reopen the subject of this 5% increase--if amendment #1 fails, Union may elect to reopen subject of when Contract will expire. A new starting step will be implemented one step below each present starting step in each classification.
