A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, REQUESTING THE
DADE DELEGATION TO REFER ALL PROPOSED
LEGISLATION REGARDING TOURISM, AND ALL OTHER
LEGISLATION THAT HAS A DIRECT ECONOMIC
IMPACT ON THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, TO THE
CITY COMMISSION FOR COMMENT PRIOR TO
SPONSORING OF SUCH BILLS.
WHEREAS, tourism is the life blood of Cities such as
Miami Beach; and
WHEREAS, certain legislation may be proposed which
would affect such industry; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Miami
Beach would like to have input into such legislation prior to
enactment:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COM-
MISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA that the City of
Miami Beach requests that all proposed legislation affecting the
tourism industry in Miami Beach, and all other legislation that
has a direct economic impact on the City of Miami Beach, be
referred to the City Commission for comment and input prior to
sponsorship by the Dade Delegation.
